Am i the only person who thought this was a bit of a let down, the effects were great basically cause you did'nt notice them but it was just another chance for big willy to show himself off. I actually like big Willy but was expecting more from the robot rebellion but they could'nt seem to get out of the bloody building once it started. It was either that or Bourne Supremacy and i came out thinking i'd made the wrong choice. :( 6.5 out of ten

I wasn't disappointed with it because I had such little expectations of it in the first place. Will Smith is just an irritating man (imho) and as such the film seemed to get caught between being a straight action film as well as trying to say something meaningful.

It maybe says something that the best character in the film was Sonny and by far the best moment was when he (it?!) was being interrogated. But once this quick flash of subtlety went by all we were left with were explosions and toasters going on the rampage (so to speak).

Quite why they even chose to call it by the same name as the Isaac Asimov collection of stories is beyond me. Pah...

I still haven't seen it, but 2 of my close friends thought it was utterly rubbish.

I've forgotten why they thought that, but just to show, ELV, ur not alone.

I was also dissapointed with this film...

As I've mentioned before in a previous thread I thought the acting was average at best from most of the main characters, with the odd unbelievable stunt sequence not helping matters...

...the thing that annoyed me the most was the completely obvious (to me anyway) product placement. Far too many long promotional shots or mention's of his shoes, cd player and car. :nono:

    Regards,
    Iain.

Totally agree with the product placement although it had to go some to be able to catch up with 'Minority Report' which just amazed and sickened me.

For a Summer "blockbusters", I always fear the worse and approach with a certain hesistancy, but I have to say this one was a pleasant surprise.
