Excuse my stupidity, but I cant quite figure out how to take apart the 42wh36 for the purposes of mechanical convergence.

In Demon's post it seems that the 51wh36 front grill can just be pulled off. However on the 42 the two lower side mouldings appear to overlap the grill so it cant just pull off. It looks like the side mouldings have to come of first, but I dont see how...

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers.

I have the servicemanual for the 42/51/57 in paper format but i don't have a scanner.

Anyway, there are on the 42" four screws that holds the panel you should remove first before snapping the panel off.

The screws are positioned on the both sides of the TV at the back of the panel if you get me?

    Ah, got it.

Didn't realise there are 2 grey panels at the back on either side that cover the 4 screws - have to remove these first.

    Thanks!
