Discrete surround sound ?

    I noticed on the old Stargate DVDs they have this sound but what is it like and anyone own the discs is different to ordinary surround ? Just curious

    i think this means all the channels are totally seperate, not mixed rear channels like pro logic. which i believe cheas and has one channel for both rears.
    might be wrong though:)

    Have the disk and will check

    danielzavitz is correct. Matrix is where the extra rear channels are encoded on the surround left and right channels (LIke Pro-logic). Discreet is where there is actually an extra, 6th, channel
