Discrete 5.1 Speaker Package Recommendations Please?

Have recently moved into an old traditional cottage from a modern property where I used to have big floor standing speakers as the fronts and rears. The living room in the cottage is a fair size but floor standing speakers would just not look right and I'm now looking at using quite small discrete 5.1 channel speakers with a decent but not over-sized SubWoofer.

The requirements...

- 2 Front L & R Speakers must be able to sit on table stands (not floor stands) These will be sat on the TV Unit beside the TV itself.
-2 Rear L & R Speakers must have the ability to be wall mounted via brackets.

The smaller the satellite speakers the better but must have premium sound. These speakers will be connecting to an Onkyo 607 amp (4-8 Ohm) required. The accompanying SUB must have an LFE input.

Colour in Black preferable

Budget = Up to £1000.00 for the lot.

Many Thanks for your help guys.. :smashin:

Hey UK Bladerunner,

Have you considered the KEF KHT2005.3 or KHT3005SE? Certainly worth an audition and definately fit your criteria and (more importantly) budget..

All the best

For sure, like the B&W, both KEF systems are multi-award winners (with WHF?), so all are defo worth an audition.

Enjoy the process and let us know what you go for!

All the best

Why the confusion about Quad? They make quality stuff that seems to fit the bill for the OP's requirements.....
