I've searched all over the net including remotecentral.com and cant find any sign of discreet codes for the above components. I simply cant believe that a manufacturer would release such late generation machines withhout codes allowing them to be controlled by a HA system. Does anyone have any clue where I could get them or if they even exist?

Any help is always appreciated greatly.

    regards,
    Nick.

    Hi

I have taken a look on
    http://www.yamaha.com/yec/customer/remotes/remote_IR.htm
(it is the US support site). I found your DVD player and it indicates that there are some discrete codes under extended IR. The site indicates that the player now uses the Phillips RC6 format and there are certainly discrete codes for On and Off. See http://www.yamaha.com/yec/customer/codes/EX_IR_DVD-S550.pdf
The AX750 is not mentioned but you may be able to find a receiver equivalent?

    I hope this helps

David, thanks for that, much appreciated. Got a new MX800 arriving this week, it would be a shame if I could controll all but the Amp. Will try phone Yamaha again today.. Cheers.

I hope you have more luck than me. The response I got from Yamaha UK was:

"The only codes available are those found on the American website, so because the E800 is not listed you will have to utilise the codes found within amplifiers and receivers. The majority of the codes will work but unfortunately some codes will not be available."

They suggested I tried codes for similar devices but I had already mapped out all the codes and there was no match in the areas I wanted. I haven't given up but a manual search for discrete codes is pretty time-consuming.

Why not try the 'OneForAll-counterpart' method?

Have you had any luck with the AX750 codes?

I am about to set up a pronto and need these codes also.

    Thanks

I would think the codes for the equivalent receiver would work
Is there an RXV750? The amplifier (AX) is sold in the UK. That's probably why it is not on the US website.
In the US they sell receivers (RXV) - except for the very high end stuff.
