I am thinking of buying a TV and DVD from this internet firm.

    www.discounttv.co.uk

Has anyone had dealings with them ?

    Their prices seem very good.

    Thanks for your replies....

Wow... looks uncannily like Web Electricals. That's spooky. Never heard of them though. Prices look OK.

Still not cheaper than Empire Direct.

I did just find this place, and they look pretty cheap too. Even beat Empire on a few things:

I have bought from this company and have been very impressed! They are a lot smaller than people like empire direct and you usually can get to talk to the same person! (I like that!) This means (As I did) if you do have any setup problems they will talk you through this! They are genuine enough as I checked with Mission if they were official dealers!

Yes, I do accept that buying a TV online/Mail order is not perfect! I personally wouldn't want a 70kg box landing on my doorstep! - but there is the issue of saving a few quid! In many cases the service offered by some select online retailers is as good as that offered by the multiples!(and other faceless organisations) - but having said that I would rather have a TV bought mail order than a 'Grey Import' TV bought from a shop!

I finally bought a Sony kv32fq75 for £ 1330 which included delivery and a 3 year warranty, and to boot they gave me £ 80 off the DVD player of my choice.

Everything arrived in perfect working order (no scrolling bars !) the next day, and the deal was much better than even Empire Direct could offer.
