Firstly this site is fantastic what a great community

After all my research and views I have settled on a 9305 or a 9005 Sony upgrade (if u go ahead ) . I enjoy learning about the tech and jargon but must say I am excited about the purchase. Then I am very underwhelmed with it all. See below

My issue is however, there is barely any 4k uhd stuff available, sky q is mainly HD. I don't Realy care for mulitroom either, although this is useful to some I guess..

there doesnt seen to be much on uhd on amazon either .

Nevermind hdr stuff.

Cant Comment on other stream sites but I usually stream on low resolution as it works better lol when I get options.

Hd stuff looks OK but I don't need a 1k+ telly for this I can get by with a much cheaper model

I Dont really want to spend 25 quid a time on new uhd dvd s and a new player on top.

Can anyone tell me why I need a sony 9305. I think I should buy this so I have the best hdr possible for my money .. But I'm seriously wondering if I should settle or a 9005 of less or nothing.... Just dont want to spend all this hard earned cash and be disappointed. ( I am really lucky to find a new box 9305 )
Im guessing more uhd will be around in 18 months..and more hdr... But how much.

its still in its infancy, even tho these tellys have been on sale for a while..
Manufacturers/retailers are just driving sales ... Sadly imo.

Do companies like the bbc have uhd plans or hdr.

Lastly when will more hdr be available I am just not clued up on this. Any answers welcome.. Thanks for reading

Lots of UHD on Netflix although it's plagued by stupid film grain grrrrr. More UHD promised on Sky.

Having treated myself to a really good TV for the first time only 18m ago it is my favourite thing in the world now.

If u love films & a good TV series as much as I do I think we should spend more on TVs than we might have done in the past & spend a couple of grand if necessary.

BBC are testing UHD/HDR currently. They recently tried live rugby in the format. There’s talk of the World Cup in 4K but unconfirmed as of yet.

I would strongly advocate getting a 4K player. If you don’t buy stuff the moment it’s released then you can pick up discs for around £15 each in multibuy offers. 4K via a decent player is stunning.

I alluded to it in the other thread but I am a skeptic when it comes to this, best advice from me is buy for the now and not for the future.
