Although attached to a previous thread on Sky Signal strength, I'm wondering why some channels are fine (notably BBC channels, ITV, Living), whilst the majority are now either displaying a "Satellite Signal not Received" or even an "Upgrade your Subscription" message. FYI I subscribe to all but Film4 and Sports Channels.

Thoughts?

My guess is that they have something screwed up in their subscriber and entitlement database.
If you get cut off from anything you should get as part of your subscription, holler like hell, elevating the problem up the management tree until they fix it.

Have you got a new version viewing card?

Sky are changing their encryption & issued new viewing cards some time ago.

One possible/probable answer :)

Thanks Both

I've a feeling that as the messages alternate between "Upgrade your Channels" and "Satellite Signal not Received" that it is more likely a problem with the box/LNB.

I'm borrowing a box from work this weekend to see if the problem is reproduced.

I'll let you know what occurs

Thanks

Dan
