    I need to uninstall Directx9 and go back to 8.1 does anyone know how I would do this ?

    You can't - It says on the Microsoft site that you cant unistall DirectX 9. For that reason I didn't bother installing it over the weekend.

    Taken directly from the Microsoft site -
    The DirectX 9.0a runtime cannot be uninstalled. We recommend Windows Me and Windows XP users create a "System Restore" point before installing. For information on creating a restore point, please refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:

    thanks it seemed to work ,,,windows update is asking me if I want to intall version 9 again.shame it didnt solve the problem I was having though

    I head of one guy who insatlled DX9 to his HTPC running ME, Radeon, RME and TT 1.5.

    All was fine until DX9 install, now picture jerky. ME would not allow rollback so he has to do a fresh install
