Are you sure that Onkyo would be willing to give up on their own AccuEQ room correction? They've spent tens of £s on it! :)

That sounds promising then for Dirac to finally reach the masses.

Dirac are now full steam ahead , after being pretty much exclusively Datasat/ high end.

Lets hope Pioneer do a good job with it..................

The announcement looks promising but the way I read it, it is for the Japanese market only??

Anybody know when Pioneer are likely to release an AVR with this? I need a new AVR soonish and don't know whether to go for the Arcam 850 now or hold fire for Pioneer....

We are trying to find out more info on the Pioneers and will report back ASAP.

I personally would think carefully about the Arcam.
I would advise you to look at a receiver or processor with a separate power amp.

As features change a receiver can be replaced whilst you can keep the power amp. You can also add a standalone mini DSP to take care of Dirac whichbalao has 4 slots to save preferred EQ curves. The Arcam has one.

Also consider the Anthem receivers and AVM60 processor. Superb in a word.

If you are set on the Arcam I would go for the 550 with a power amp but also look at other options.

    Regards

    Rich

Can you see the 7200wa dropping even further in price once the 6300 goes on sale? If it drops to 1500 then id consider that...

Not sure if it will as the 7200 remains the flagship until next year.

Give me a shout if I can help.
