Im looking at purchasing the KEF Q7 AV speaker set. My question involves speaker placement, mainly of the dipolar speakers. I understand that these should go directly to the sides of the viewer. Is there an ideal height for these or would it be ok to place these quite high on the walls? The rear speakers will most likely go at ear level behind the viewer.

I remember some THX recommendation of about 2ft below ceiling height as a minimum but I might just have invented that. From experience Dipoles do need space around them as the sound you hear has to reflect of surfaces first. In my case a bookshelf next to one made the sound distinctly different, messing up the diffuse seamless effect I was after.
