    Hi
I am in the middle of deciding between the 42" or 50" model of the 1080p panasonics. I am trying to figure out if the screen will be too big for the room.

Does anyone have the actual dimensions of the width and height of the pannels and not the tv including the bezel, speakers ect.

How much of a difference will it be by going from 42 to 50? I sit about 6-7 ft away from the screen.

    Thanks

Depends which model of 1080p panasonic your referring too. I'll assume you mean the PZ70 models....

    42PZ70 - 1,134 mm × 641 mm × 116 mm - 35.0 kg
    50PZ70 - 1,323 mm × 754 mm × 99.5 mm - 43.0 kg

At 6-7 ft away I would suggest a 42" is enough.

    Hi
those are the total sizes of the screen. Im wondering what the size of the pannel is i.e just the screen and not the parts that go around it. It shouldent be specific to panasonic but any screen in general.
    thanks

Well that would be 42" and 50" diagonal.

If you cant do the maths thats roughly, given that the screen is a 16:9 ratio.

42" is 36.5"x20.5" give or take an inch
50" is 43.6"x24.5" give or take an inch
