I had a Samsung 40" LCD for 9 months, then dark images @ top of screen started to flicker, and picture sometimes reset itself, also had "ghosting". Samsung took so long to repair it, Dixons refunded my money.

My wife always wanted plasma, so now we are looking to get a Toshiba or Panasonic 37 or 42" plasma.

The "Which" report still comes out in favour of LCD.
But, I have heard that Plasma handles live football images better, and I watch a lot of sport!

looking at LCd versus Plasma in the showroom, it's not obvious which is best. As my tv position is not subject to direct sunlight (which causes reflection on Plasma screens), but not LCD - so this reason to knock back plasma does not apply to my situation.
I would be very greatful for any advice ........... thanks.
