Ok planning on getting a 32 or 36ZP48 at the end of the month. But have read that the tv's decoder doesnt do DTS?

Now the DVD Player does Dolby Digital and DTS. Does this mean the dvd is decoding the sound or the tv ?

Will DTS work through the surround sound external speakers as Dolby D would ?

As there will be more DTS movies out soon...

This is where i am getting confused.

    Thanks.
    Rob.

The 340 is DTS compatible ie it will output a DTS signal that will need to be decoded. The TV won't decode it so you would be limited to DD only. Then again, on a TV surround system, I doubt there would be a significant difference anyway.
