I recorded a film on ITV 3 the other night off my Thompson set top Freeview box. Everything appeared fine until I watched the film right through and noticed that a couple of times the reciever lost the signal for a few seconds and when it came back the annoying display screen was displayed on the recording for a few seconds :(

I know analogue signal is not as good as you get from digital - but if you are recording a film that you want to keep in DVD it is frustrating when it is interuppted by digital signal loss!

Perhaps you should look to your reception, you shouldn't be losing the DTT signal unless it's less than perfect in the first place and there isn't any local interference that could be causing the drop outs.

On a light hearted note, if the film is worth keeping then considering it's age it'll no doubt be on offer for under a tenner on DVD:)
