Digitising Vinyl

I've got an audigy 2zs pci card, but have since read that a prodigy 192 is much better for 2 channel analog output.

So I'm wondering if the prodigy will be better at capturing 2 channel analog and digitising it.....

Question 1: Should I be coughing up for a prodigy, or will the audigy do me ok?
Question 2: If I stick with the audigy, will the bundled software do me ok, or would it be worth buying a 3rd party app like Steinberg Clean 5.0?
Question 3: Does this question belong here or in the hcpc forum?

The Audigy2 will be fine. I've just recorded some Vinyl to CD for the wife (she doesn't appreciate Vinyl!!) and the recording quality is first rate. I compared it (same albums) to the results a friend gets with his Yam pro card, and while not as good, it's not that far off. I would suggest getting hold of Magix, or PM me for some other suggestions. Nothing iffy mind, just not prepared to get into another debate with other forum members over whats good and what isn't!! :D

The bundled software is ok, but I got better results with the software I use.

what's a yam pro?
Yamaha professional sound card. He plays guitar and uses it to record to Pc.
