For anyone who doesn't know, Digitiser, the hilarious teletext-based games journal, has ended after 10 wonderful years :(

I've been watching it for 4-5 years and always thought it was hilarious. It never took itself seriously and was so much better than Internet and magazine-based games journals because of it.

So did anyone on here read Digi? Will you be sad to see it go? I know I will be...:(

    :)

I expect there to be a replacement but who can honestly replace The Rapping Shoe, Mr T, Ring Sir and the dozens of other characters? They would pale in comparison IMO

Someone showed me this site earlier

    http://www.moleman.freeserve.co.uk

Its an archive of classic Digi. :smashin:

I dare anyone to read through this and not laugh :D

Nothing will ever live up to digitiser.

My guess is CH4 will replace it with something that has a glossy exterior but ultimately no soul.

    :(

One of the blokes that started Digitiser off is doing an column in Edge now. His first article was in the DOA Volley ball copy....pretty good column...not reviews just giving his thoughts.

They also interviewed him recently (possibly in the previous copy) and he told us all about all the fun and games they had starting it up and keeping it from being stopped.

I'm gutted that I'll never read a Zombie Dave again. I always had to leave that page until I'd finished my breakfast, just in case there was a ZD on it, and my telly got splattered with bits of Shreddie again.
The replacement is trying too hard to be like Digi.
The end of an era <sniff>.
