Does anyone know of any AV preamps that have per channel digital XLR outputs? I'm looking at Digital active monitors and wanted to know if there was any way to go digital all the way to the speakers. Stereo isn't a problem, I can do that from a PC, but DD, DTS etc?

Yes, maybe. I did look at the Meridian stuff since they also do digital speakers but they seem to use spdif rather than XLR, not sure if that is a problem or net.

    Jeff,
I think that Meridian may be able to supply the 568 with digital XLRs, if not there is a product available in the U.S. (Sorry, details have escaped me) which converts between the various digital interfaces and does a smattering of reclocking too. Don't think it's cheap though.:(

    not sure about that..

there's not enough real estate on the back panel..

That would be the sort of thing for an 800 series product
