Have you tried a power cycle as in unplugging it, wait a few mins then plug it back in?

Mine does exactly the same so I have to switch it off at the back off switch then wait 5 sec's and switch back on. The machine closes down and has to be switched on re the hand set. It works for me tho I'm sure I shouldn't have to do this if it was working properly. Hope this works for you. I would take it to be repaired but I'm disabled and could never carry it.

    Hi,

If the good old Power-Cycle doesn't work then you could try a Full reinstall of the Firmware.

Someone else just had the same issue and you can read about it in the main thread.

You have to download an MSU FW package (8 files) from the Wiki and extract to root of a FAT32 USB stick (not all work so you have to keep trying different sticks sometimes).

Software Versions - DigitalStream DHR Wiki

You have to use the Full Version (Rear USB Boot) Method to Update.

Well, I had the "Loading" issue this morning. Powering off via the rear switch did not help, but the MSU 8-file rear update worked for me. :)

My problem is I replaced the HDD to resolve loading, loss of vision and audio and being unable to access recorded programmes. It appeared to work as it restored vision and audio but it is still taking 5 mins to load and it won't record. I have tried 5 fat32 usb's to reload the software, one which had been used previously to successfully update the software, but it won't recognise any of them. The pvr is now 7 years old, is it time to bin it or can something be done to restore full functionality?
