I was just about to order the digital SPL meter on maplins web site, when I noticed on the spec sheet that the frequency range starts at 300HZ. Isn't that a problem? especially when calibrating the subwoofer?

I would have thought it's no good as you need to get down to 20 Hz, as you rightly say.

the only input I'd have is that there's no point in the meter going down that low if the microphone you're using cannot accurately pick up those low frequencies (similarly for the higher frequencies).
