Help please - I have an Echostar LT8700 Analogue moving dish satellite system (separate from my Sky fixed dish). However, there are virtually no channels left on analogue signal and I want to buy a new digital receiver to pick up Hotbird and other satellites. QUESTION - can I chain (Scart lead from Echostar to new digital receiver) a new basic receiver and use the current motor / accentuator mechanism from my Echostar set up. What is the cheapest way that delivers the goods. Would there need to be any changes to the 4 year old dish, wiring because of a didgital set up. Do I need a whole new system!!??

If you choose a new reciever with a second scart you should be able to achieve what you are aiming for no problem. If your dish and coax are sound i'd leave them alone.I'd consider changing to a new lnb though. I'll send you a link to some sites which will be usefull.
