I am connecting the TOSlink digital output of this TV to a DAC and my stereo system. I get signal only when the TV is set for one of its external connections (AppleTV and Blu-Ray player). When I am watching actual television (off-the-air antenna to the internal ATSC tuner), there is no audio output. (Everything works fine when I use the analog RCA outputs).

I am thinking the problem must have something to do with the fact that my DAC is not Dolby compatible. Perhaps the TV's digital output is Dolby-encoded when "TV" is selected, but PCM when the Blu-Ray or ATV is ? I'm wondering if there's any way to force the TV to provide PCM audio output in all modes. Or if there is another possible explanation and solution for my problem. I hate to have to use the analog audio outputs of the TV just for this reason. Thanks.
