Digital Image editors

    Can any reccomend a good photo digital editing software. I've used the packages sent with the camera's but wondered if anyone can recommend an off the shelf package which is amazing

    adobe photshop (but takes a while to master
    adobe photo elements (for those frighted by photoshop)
    Jasc Paintshop pro because its cheap but very feature rich

    These are the main three all the others are wannabees

    I use Photoshop 7 but as Nunew has stated a little hard to master. Once you have though it's (for me) the best of the lot.

    Another recommendation here for Photoshop.

    If you can afford it then its really worth getting as you'll not want for anything else. I use it at home and work everyday and it quickly becomes second nature - but there are plenty of free resources out there to teach you the basics and with a bit of practice you'll soon be up and running.

    You can pick up older versions for pretty cheap if you shop around.

    photoshop is really hard to use! it took me hours to figure out how to get ride of red eye reduction!

    50/50 get Photoshop Album. It's simple to do in that.
