Digital audio out

    I assume there must be, but is there an adaptor to run from the SPDIF connector on my motherboard to the optical or digital input on an external amp so that I can output DD 5.1 sound?

    Having never seen an SPDIF out on a motherboard before I don't know. What board is it and I'll take a look. But I don't think you'll find an optical one unless the output on the MB is optical.
