If only choosing a new camcorder was that easy :nono:

So to make life a little easie for us here are a few relevant questions:

Why Digital8? D8 cams are a lot bigger than DV cams.
What will you use the cam for? Holidays/kids/stage filming etc
    What is your budget?
Will you be editing on a PC/Mac? You may well require DV-in if you are.
Will you need it to play old Video8 or Hi8 tapes?
Do you just want point & shoot or will you want manual overide controls?

well , the thing is I need it to record holidays trips and on some ocassions lectures . But the most important reason of all is to play d8 tapes, because a relative of mine has one so instead of taking my potential camera on holiday to kashmir where he lives , I could use his to make it that bit easier.

    get the picture?

    Ok, that makes sense!

The thing that you must check before useing the relatives cams is - is their cam PAL, NTSC or something else? If its not PAL then you wont be able to play the recordings anyway as only PAL recordings will play in a UK PAL camcorder.
Also you didn't give a budget.
