I have just bought a Freeview PVR (still waiting for it) and in the meantime have bought a signal sender so we can watch stuff recorded on the PVR upstairs on our portable.

At the moment we have satellite and the signal is being received upstairs in widescreen which means the picture is all squashed up on the portable.

Is there a way that we can set the SKY to 4:3 as opposed to widescreen so we get a decent picture upstairs? We can change it back to widescreen when watching downstairs on the widescreen TV. Or will this problem not exist on Freeview?

SKY digiboxes have the option to automatically change the aspect ratio but only when using the TVLink device.
You can certainly manually change the ratio from within the picture menu but you would be doing that everytime you switched televisions:)

I suspect the Freeview box will be exactly the same, the digisender is tranmitting only what the STB sends out after all.
