Hi all,

I've got an old Panasonic SkyDigiBox that worked perfectly up until a week ago. But it has now gone in to permanent standby and won't unlock. I've tried the power off thing, back up button for ages etc but I can't get it out of standby.

Is there anyway of manually rebooting it if I open it up? Or has anyone any ideas as to what's happened?
Thanks in advance
Ronan.

Hi Martin,
It's a Panasonic TU-DSB30. Do you think that it's something internal gone? It worked perfectly until it was left off for around 5 weeks, themn sporadically for a week, now Kaput!

Thanks for any info you have
Ronan.

From what you wrote, it's definitely faulty. Most likely one or more capacitors have died. The faulty ones often show up when allowed to cool down. Unfortunately, unless you can see signs of bulging, it's unlikely that you can determine which parts are faulty, without special knowledge and equipment.
