Diffrence between DTS

    Hello ,
    i wondering if you could hear any diffrence between DTS ES matrixed and DTS 6.1 Discrete??
    Can anyone help me?

    Hi,

    If you search the site, you will find a topic explainig exactly that.

    Here goes though: Matrix means that the 6th channel is MAtrix encoded into the 2 surround channels of DTS (Like old Pro-logic).

    Discrete means it's a full blown sixth channel.

    I'm not sure you can hear a difference... In theory, Discrete should be better, but I don't think there is any software both Matrix and Discrete encoded to make a direct comparison.
