Anyone found it difficult to get into games on this? I've never had problems with GRIT, MotoGP etc but I'm constantly getting Game is no longer available when I select them. I have never managed to get into one though 'Quick Game' and sometimes I am dropped after a race (maybe host leaving I guess).

Is it me? Have a rock solid DSL connection that has been up for days.

I got it a few times on sunday. I think its more likely to be newbies hosting a game and then changing there mind or switching tracks etc.

i think it'll calm down once the Christmas newbies have got the hang of it

just bad luck and timing I think. I have never had serious problems with PGR2, though of course when I try to show friends or family how cool it is, I keep getting the messages you have. I think its just people leaving the server. If you create your own game it never happens. Add me to your friends list and I'll see you there sometime (moscow or edinburgh probably)

Slightly off subject, but can you host a game and race on your own, ie if your waiting for someone to come on live.

no you can't, but I have never waited for more than 30 seconds for people to join. I tend to find the best way of making the race fair and fun is to limit the cars so everyone has to race minis or something. this stops some wise arse american 12 year old thrashing you in some car he unlocked with cheat somewhere.

Minis, ford focus and lotus exige always produce great races. For the top cars the porche 911 is always fun too

having said that people have come up with a good race with minis on the ring called cat n mouse

minimum 6 players. either 3 teams of 2 or 2 teams of 3

one person from each team selects a mini, the rest extreme or ultimates but all the same.

then the ultimates have to protect thier mini and force the other team(s)' mini off the road.

    its a real hoot!

Yep, suggest cat'n'mouse if you're in a full room. Most people know about it and it's a right laugh. I played with some Americans on the Nurburgring with mini's and Enzo's the other night. Hilarous. Took about half an hour. The main trick is to get half a mile ahead in a an enzo and then drive back towards the pack at full speed. He he.
