Another LCD TV I am now considering is the Toshiba 27WL56. Based on the official Toshiba spec it looks pretty good. 27WL56 - LCD TV > Product Specifications 68cm LCD screen WXGA resolution Active Vision picture processing High contrast & brightness ratio HDMI input Property Value General Visible screen size (cm): 68 Screen format: 16:9 LCD panel Screen Brightness (cd/m2): 500 Contrast ratio: 900:1 Resolution (pixels): 1280x720 Resolution (row): WXGA Reception Multi-standard tuner Number of channels: 100 Text with Fastext Picture Active Vision LCD DNR Progressive scan Real digital picture processing Viewing angle (degrees): 170 Sound Audio output (RMS) W: 20 Nicam stereo SRS WOW Connections Fixed audio output HDMI Headphone PC compatible SCART: 2 Composite video S-video RGB: 2 Note mainly that Toshiba claim contrast is 900:1, brightness 500. 2 Scarts AND 2 RGBs, as well as Composite HDMI and composite. Looks good by those claims. However, on various online retailers it is only 600:1 contrast, brightness is 550. The 2 RGBs are included within the scarts? Sound & Vision say they contrast ratio is 800:1, 500 brightness, with the following connectors. 1 x S-Video Connection/s 2 x Euro Scart Connection/s 1 x Composite Video Connection/s 1 x Headphone Socket 1 x HDMI Connection/s 2 x RGB Scart Connection/s Does that mean the RBGs are included within the scarts? or not? So anyone who has actually got one, what is the correct spec? The contrast and brightness especially seems to vary, though its the same model. Thanks.
