Differences between Denon 1740 and 1940

Hi,

I can see that there are various features that the Denon 1940 has that the 1740 doesn't - like DVD-A and SACD playback and 5.1 audio out. But does anyone have an idea about whether picture quality (especially non-upscaled through Scart / component) is the same on the two machines?

Thanks a lot!

Do you know what that might mean in terms of picture quality differences?
Thanks a lot.

Ah right, I see that it is to do with correcting jagged artifacting on diagonals. I'm using a top-quality CRT so wonder if this is less of an issue... Seems to me that these artifacts crop up much more often on LCDs.

Thanks again for letting me know...

Does anyone happen to know if the Pioneer DV600 has the faroudja or equivalent? I can't seem to find this info. Cheers.
