Hi all,
I'm another newbie to the world of AV Receivers, and having posted previously in the 'Speakers' forum, I now know that my questions should rather be pointed at the Amps forum...
Anyway, I'm looking for a Surround Sound System, to include Speakers for under £300. My room is about 5m v 4m, but the TV-to-sitting area is about 3.5m.
A previous quick post identified the Yam AV63, AV63+, Sony HT1300 or DDGW800 as potential good starter systems...and I've taken a look at these and am still boggled by the seemingly complicated functions of these units.
Having (I think) homed in on the Yamaha systems, I am now confused as to what the differences are between the AV63 (RVX363?) and the AV63+ (DSPAX463?). I was led to believe that the RXV363 might not cope with HD? Is this correct?
I would just like a basic system which provides nice quality (i.e. better than TV), connects to my DVD/HDD recorder and TV out and also has the capability for HD (future proof). For...er...less than £300 if poss.
Anyone help?
Many thanks,
Andy.
