Not having purchased the Die Hard Ultimate collection yet, as I already have the R2 versions,
I was intrigued to notice the run times of Die Hard 2 R1 and R2. Now stay with me on this one,
both have the same run time of 123 minutes, but we all know that R2 run times are approximately
4% shorter than R1 due to the difference in frames/sec.
So if the R2 run time is 123 minutes then I would expect the R1 to be approx 5mins longer ie
128 minutes, or the other way round if R1 is 123 mins then R2 should be 118 mins.
What I want to know is a; is the R1 version actually shorter or b; have they simply quoted
the incorrect run times on the covers on one or both of these DVD'S.

    Hi,

Dirk's correct. On the Region 1 editions:-

"Die Hard" runs for 131 minutes approx, and

"Die Hard 2" runs for 124 minutes, if my memory serves me.

    Pooch
P.S. Don't get annoyed if my info is not as accurate as you would like. I'm young, nieve, and my memory ain't that great!
