Just seen this at PLAY for £14.99.
    http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=R2&title=128585

Due for release on 15/09/2003, seems like great value but I suppose that they are the versions with just DD 5.1.
Has anyone got the special editions with all the extras and DTS, are they worth getting.

    All comments appreciated,
    David.

The special Edtions are great, Die Hard and Die Hard :3 have the best DTS tracks out of teh three of them. If you get Die Hard 3 make sure you get the R1 as the R2 is cut. Since the Boxset is an 18 i hoping that the Uncut Die Hard 3 is released with it.

The R1 SE has some 'studio cuts' which were made in the fight sequence between McClane and Targo (the chain whipping part)!

I doubt it, it means resubmitting Die Hard 3 for certification.

The reason it will be an 18 boxset is because Die Hard 2 was always an 18 on its home release (uncut).

It will be an 18 anyway cause Die Hard has always been an 18, Die Hard 2 was a 15 when it was released at the cinema with cuts, but the dvd is uncut 18

The R2 version of Die Hard 3 does not feature a DTS soundtrack at all.

The extras on the 6 disk boxset are worth watching.

My faveourite bit is the cast n crew laughing their butts off as Willis takes several takes trying to break a window in the first movie. At one point the Chair he's using to try n smash the window breaks, without even making a dent on the window

    Regards
