    But there's this pub called the Academy where I live, it's awsome thing is they've got 16 standard crt TV's all connected together to form one massive TV. Thing is i was just wondering what would you need to achieve this?.

    This is known as a video wall.
    It requires some complex commercial (not consumer) add-ons in order to do this , ensuring no overlap and everything in sync.

    A Google search on "video wall" should yield more information.

    Hrmmm, had a look on ebay. Way way way too expensive.
