Being one of those people NEVER to read manuals or help me files I decided to get stuck in and starting ripping cd's to CronicStage. There I am smiling away as one after another the library is filling up with album after album, and quicker than I expected too. I plugged in my HD5 30G and whoosh! The music is on my Sony as Atrac files before I knew it. The sound is great amd I'm very happy.

Then, as I become more 'confident' I thought I would burn myself an Mp3 CD for the car. No chance! It wont do it. Now, without reading a manual or viewing read me files, each one of you is going to tell me I should have copied my CD's into Cronic Library as an Mp3 then sent them to my Sony HD5 as Atrac. Yes or No?

So, next question. How do I convert Atrac to Mp3?

    Cheers fella's

I looked into this a while ago. I lost my 5 of my favourite cd's but I still had the Atrac. You can buy software to do this but it's money and hassle you don't have to go through if you still have the CD's... you may as well just rip 'em again.

p.s. I found my cd's in the end.

Um ... I don't believe a program exists that can do this. Could be wrong of course ...

Cheers Jus. I have all the cd's so I guess I'll just start over. "Measure twice, cut once" springs to mind!

No worries mate. I haven't tried it so don't blame me if it's pants ;) It's got to be better to start at source again if you can...I see you're downloading so I guess you can't do that.

Some downloading, but a hell of a lot more ripping (about 800 CDs, half way through now ...)
