Samsung's latest QLED TVs win a blind TV test at UK's AVForum
The British Bryter market research agency conducted a blind TV test for UK-based AVForum website readers. Almost all voters (87% out of 60 participants) preferred Samsung's Q9FN QLED TV over the three OLED TVs at the test.

The test included three OLED TVs, but we do not know the actual models tested. Samsung's QLED TVs were highly rated for its picture quality, smart platform, user experience, security and input speed.

Interesting that it is not revealed which oleds were used, how they were set up, what they were showing or what environment this was in.

Even in demo modes, you go into a showroom and can see that the over brightened QLEDs are lacking in contrast, volume and colour compared to oleds, especially side by side.

As HDTV test highlighted, the artificial brightening of content may lead uninformed consumers to say that the QLED looks better (because brighter looks better).

Not sure I would regar this test impartial at all.

Was this an AVForums sanctioned event and where was it held? Can't recall seeing anything of that nature advertised by AVForums.

The conspicuous absence of comments by anyone at AVForums speaks volumes. The fact that this thread needed setting up as the ability to comment on the "article" itself was disabled is also rather telling. I see straight through this as nothing more than paid Samsung marketing BS. I'm both disappointed and surprised that AVForums are connected with it. It's a real shame to have to question this site's integrity.

Are the above comments by Oled owners by any chance?
Would it really make you more happier if Oled had came out on top?

Whatever TV you have, you must have thought it was the best when you bought it! Stop getting wound up by stupid tests.

This thread should be deleted or at least don't allow comments lol. We already know its going to be full of Oled owners defending Oled like every other thread involving the Q9FN and turn into a mindless battlefield.

Nothing more than promotional content with a certain amount of dishonesty involved.

As well as not knowing the model numbers of the (two or three) OLEDs involved, has anyone noticed that even the sizes of all the televisions are not specified? Were they all 55", all 65", or a mixture? And What Hi-Fi, of which I am also an occasional forum member but which I thought was not a particular ally of this forum, made a presentation at the event.

As others have said, I'm really surprised and more than a little disappointed that the original Bryter article did not allow comments, and so this thread had to be set up, thanks to @DELUCAS. Perhaps someone from AVForums will respond officially to answer the issues raised in this thread.

Just been made aware of this thread. This was NOT an AVForums event and it has nothing to do with the AVForums editorial. It was not a sanctioned event supported by us either and as far as I know no members attended and nobody was invited from this site. I hope that clears things up from an editorial point of view.

It is a promoted article from Bryter and it is marked as such, so there should be no mistaking it for editorial or 'official' AVForums content. It states this is a number of prominent areas of the text so people should be aware it is a sponsored promoted article written by that company for one of their events.

I want to make sure these items are not mistaken for 'official' editorial content as we take our independence and integrity seriously when it comes to our thoughts and opinions, so if anyone has any ideas of how to make it more obvious we will take them on board. There is a massive Promoted before the titles, and again in bold text before the main text in both the article and thread, and it states it is authored by the promoted content poster, not editorial or AVForums.

Please post your suggestions in the feedback section where Admin and the Commercial guys can see them and respond.

I honestly have no idea, but seeing as Stuart is away on holiday it must be an automated system to put it together.
