I tried to go for a rift S and an oculus quest.
I was NOT going to get either but this deal tested that.
I could not get a rift s for RRP but Argos eBay did have 64gb quests (£340 with code). Alas by the time I got my payment details sorted my local store had sold out. I could have got one 30 miles away but too lazy for that. Currys eBay had 128gb ones in-stock and would deliver for £440 with code but decided I did not want one that much.
Instead I got a raspberry pi to make a 128gb retro emulation box.... So the eBay code saved me a whopping £4.50 [IMG].
    Almost bought a 32gb Wii u for £65 with 3 games but decided I didn't need a new console

I was two clicks away from buying a PS4 Pro but I use my PS4 only for exclusives and there's nothing on the horizon. Already regretting not getting it though.

As expected... Argos Cambridge magically have stock of RiftS hmds today (I did not check quests as don't was to cheese myself off even more!)
Not sure why they would hold back stock it is not like the money was out of their pockets but the timing is unfortunate. Defo would have got a rift s at £340 and hell may have ended up with a quest too

Btw it is not something I would do but lots of people made some decent money scamming eBay with the £1 listing fee as well with fake £400 auctions

Same as they always are I'd imagine. Sellers be selling stuff they don't have and buyers be buying stuff with money they don't have :)

No. Not quite. People putting an Xbox 1x up at £400 and a mate buying it, but there was never a console to sell. £60 free money less £1 posting fee and PayPal fee rinse and repeat.

Nearly got myself a Switch but bottled at last minute - I never do hand held gaming anyway!
I did get a pristine PS4 Pro via Music Magpie on the last ebay coupon - paid little over £200 for it!

Honestly .... I deliberately didn't mention it till after it ended. No judgement from me either way but I didn't want to be responsible for encouraging practices which may make eBay from thinking twice before doing this again. ;)
