His character in Gremlins played as much a part in giving it classic status as anything/anyone else in the film for me.

Rest In Peace.

Hes one of those actors that almost been in everything yet not a big star.
List of his many roles here. and he was the star of A Bucket of Blood

R.I.P. Dick Miller aka Walter Paisley

Remember him well, I'm sure he was the proprietor of a gun shop in Terminator rather than a pawn shop.

First few seconds in video above;)

RIP.
The kind of actor that fills out the scene.

There are many quotes:

“Hey, just what you see pal”
“You sure know your weapons pal. I’ll tell you any one of these is suitable for home defence”

Or his pithy words in The Howling when Karen transforms live on TV:
“Oh boy”

A small selection of some of the fun films that he appeared in over the years.

With Gremlins being an all-time favourite of mine he will always be Mr Futterman.

I'm saddend to hear of his passing :(

Dick Miller - I guess he’s known in the business as a “character actor”; one of those guys that always elevates a movie through the personality he brings to a role no matter how small. I have a lot of time for these actors - such as the also recently departed Donald Moffat, and the always dependable Bruce McGill - but Dick was clearly one of the best. RIP Mr. Miller.

Great name, terrible job title.
