    Hi

I have just upgraed today from a Sony 930 to a Denon 3802 amp.
    I am using 4 Mordaunt short 904's ,1 Mordaunt short 905c and a Mordaunt short 907w subwoofer.

I have connected the various leads and I seem to be able to hear distant speech in the subwoofer.
I was under the impression that the sub would only deal with sound effects and leave the speech to the centre speaker.

I s this ok or have I got something wrong here ? , I did not notice the speech with the 930 amp.

    Thanks

    Drphibes

    *UPDATE*

I have the sub connect using the red/white connectors on the denon out 907 in.
I unplugged one of these and got no sound , plugged it back in and took the other out and now I have souned effects and no speech in the sub .

I cannot remember but am I right in thinking that the sub is a mono channel and therefore only needs a single feed?.

There is a single out to the sub, that i use.Have you got it connected to the sub out,and not another pre-out(ie: centre pre out).I did this before and had the surround right feeding the sub,by mistake,it didnt sound too healthy!

Check all your connections. From DVD - AMP - Speakers. You should not get dialogue through the sub. If you are getting it all the time then one of the connections is wrong.

You'll get male dialogue through a sub if the crossover in amp' or sub is set too high.

I have been very please with my Mordaunt Short 907:D .
I cannot really say how it compares to other subs as this is the only one I have owned but it certainly packs plenty of bass and and looks really great aswell.

Maybe someone else with a little more technical knowledge can come on and give you some more details.
