I've just spent the money to get an RGB --> Componant convertor etc.

When I watch a dvd I can see very fine diagonal lines but not when I watch SKY. Could this be an artifact from cheap scart leads or could it just be the dvd player?? After spending £120 to see lines, I don't want to spent £50 to still see them if you know what I mean:)

I would rather have kept the money, stayed on composite and seen dots cos' dot are better than lines :smoke:

If the scart cable does not have effective screening it will pick up both mains and RF interference. Mains interference will often manifest itself in the form of fine diagonal lines right across the picture.
CPC do some well screened scart cables that won't break the bank.
