Having bought the DHT 500 a week or so ago I have been very impressed with it using it as my hifi and radio in one unit.

A few threads on here have been very useful regarding volume and setup but have not noticed anyone having the problem i seem to have.

The DHT is connected to a Philips TV via scart...I havent got a component connection on the TV. I have Sky plus connected to the DHT via optic cable.

Into the TV I have 3 scarts...1 for the DHT..1 for Sky Plus...1 for Philips Recordable DVD.

The problem I get is on plying DVD's...some new out of the box. The screen has an occaisional flash of pixel breakdown. Like when watching Sky in bad weather but not as bad. I can rewind the DVD and play again but it doesnt happen at the same points.

I have tried various set ups but can guarantee through a film ill get 2 or 3 flashes on the screen.

I have no problem playing from the Philips DVD and Sky so dont think its the TV.

    Any ideas?

The scart cable? Could try changing it with one of the other two. Or change the socket it goes in to on the TV. Or both.

I have tried swopping the scart leads to different EXT's on the TV.

    Also tried different scarts.

All 3 are gold plug, OFC scart leads.

Last night I also had the vibrating disc that I have read about.

Plenty of room around the unit to keep it from over heating?
