DFGT broken

    just got my logitec dfgt out to play gt5 and went to plug it in and my stupid wife has snapped the usb cable that plugs into the playstation into three bits is they any way to fix this ?

    You should be able to cut another (cheap) usb cable and attach the wires like you would with a coaxial cables (tv aerial). I haven't tried it so I'm not 100% sure it will work.

    so a usb lead is no more complicated than a tv aerial lead ?

    As long as the colours match it should be no more difficult than a coax cable. It only has around 4 wires anyway. HTH.

    If you're not sure, try "Repair USB Cable" into Google. One of the first ones I found had a link to

    Make a Short USB Cable

    which shows some pictures as a guide. I´m sure you´ll be able to find other stuff more useful.

    Looks like it´s perfectly possible

    thank you to everyone who replied:smashin: i have managed to solder the four wires in the usb cable back together and bought a usb extension lead to make it long enough and it all works which surprises me with my electrical skills :laugh:
    now to get back to playing gt5
