Hello,I have a Pan 26 LXD70 LCD with 2 HDMI ports.I have 3 devices to connect to 2 ports,PS3 Pan DVD recorder and Samsung DVD player, with HDMI upscaling.

I have seen devices which I can best describe as a HUB type device. It allows you to input many HD device, and connects to a single HDMI port on the TV.

Can anyone recommend one which will not affect pic and sound please.

Cheers:thumbsup:

Hello idolm

What you require is an HDMI Switch - they now come in all manner of Input/Output configurations; with a wide range in build and design quality.

Have a look at Octava - they definitely wont degrade your Audio or Video signals; see http://www.octavainc.com/

Hello idolm

Most eBay resellers are selling Switch gear by the OEM Manufacturer CMI of China.

You'll find mixed reviews/feedback on the various CMI product ranges - the very low cost passive gear is very system dependent; it may work in one system but not in another.

The only option is to Order a unit and try it in Your system - it may work then again it may not.

AVForums member Gae has some feedback on a lot cost Switch you may want to heed - http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=756028

PS You can sometimes get Octava Switch Gear at a reduced price - see http://www.tmfsolutions.co.uk/exdemonstration.htm :)

Hi Joe,
Many thanks for the help.
I will probably not purchase the one in the link,I have just read the link you supplied about low costs switches .
The units for sale from Octava seem the best, safest option.I will have a closer look tomorrow .
Once again many thanks for your help.

I have got through 3 different medium price switches from different sources and tried them out on my entirely conventional system. Each one I have had to send back in some cases wasting £5 doing so. Essentially unless they amplify the signal, internal losses mean the signal is lost completely. I have two entirely seperate systems, one with three outputs to screens so manufacturers/suppliers claiming there is something wrong with my gear is easy to refute. The only issue is that the cost of some of these switches makes a new amplifier seem more viable!

cheers
