Detached from cone

    Sent back one of my speakers because it had become faulty... rang up technical and they said the speaker had been detached from the cone... does that mean i over powered the speaker then... or a fault

    Bit short on detail there,so it could easily be either of those.....what are the speakers,what were you doing to them at the time....what sort of power etc was being delivered....most importantly,perhaps...are they under guarantee?

    i had a rock song on.. volume was about 2/3rds way up,speakers are wharfdale 8.2+ (6ohm 100watt) bass and treble were pretty much on 0(middle) and yeh they are under gaurantee
