Evening all,
Need some advice from those in the know. I'm after a 42" plasma that has detachable speakers. I like the look of the PV 500 but it wont fit into the hole i have for it.
Two that i have looked at are the pioneer 436xde and the hitachi pd7200.
any owners with these screens care to let me know of there experiences with either would be appreciated.
Are there any others i should be looking at?

You could get a Panasonic PHD8 instead, 42" with no speakers at all, you'd then need the extra boards and you'd be set

Indeed, the PHD8 is a fine fine HD ready display, make sure you look at PHD8 and not PWD8 though ;)

Dont forget though, these are displays, you'll need to purchase extra add-in boards to get extra connectivity, it comes with composite/s-video/dsub connections out of the box but you could probably do with scart/HDMI/component boards too, though you can get a cable which will allow you to do component over the dsub connection.
