Most of us have more than one device.

Out of your devices, what do you use the most?

I have a Mac mini, Galaxy Tab S and Note 4. And just got a Macbook Pro to join that.... My Mac mini will probably not get used as much now....

How many devices do you have, and how many of those do you actually use?

Mainly ipad/desktop, then smartphone.
There is also an ancient Sony laptop (2006, so 8-9 years old) connected to the TV but this is getting less and less use since connecting the ipad to the tv is much faster and easier than waiting for the laptop to boot up.

Desktop mainly used for work, ipad used for emailing, youtube, 'casual' browsing, etc. I probably spend about the same time on each.

Some of you may be surprised that the smartphone (iphone 4 on payg) comes last on this list, but I'm not the sort of person who is constantly expecting texts, phone calls nor do I update my facebook or twitter every time I eat, drink, fart or go on the loo. Hence it gets most of it's use only outside the house.

But what about the life expectancy of these things? My desktop is 7 years old, running vista, slower at booting but once up and running is quite usable. Do you think it is time for an upgrade (probably to a macbook air once a new one comes out)
I have an ipad mini and ipad 2 that is used by other members of the house, don't plan on upgrading those, however since the update the latter has become very slow - what a big mistake it was upgrading to ios 8. Marginal new features, mediocre performance.
Iphone 4? Well it does what I want it to do, calls, texts, bit of internet, camera, so I'll be hanging on to it for some time, perhaps until when the 6 becomes cheaper. Just because a new one comes out, doesn't mean that the 'old' one stops working.

Laptop - 1 year old PCspecialist custom build, nice high spec and happily runs most games at a decent level, this is the one I use primarily now as it can do near anything I need it to. I have a laptop work have given me too but its just too small and slow so I use this for work too

Desktop : Custom build, spent many years constantly upgrading it to keep it up in the upper echelons of gaming ability, since moving house a year ago it has now been donated to my brother as I just didn't want to take up one of the rooms with a desk and such as its a beast of a a thing.

Smartphone - Iphone 5 & 5S, the 5S is my work phone, both get a fair amount of use, very handy when I am away from the home during the day working and still able to keep up with emails, also in the evenings the iPhone gets more use than the laptop generally.

Tablet - Nexus 7, this is for my little one primarly, has a lot of educational apps on it that teach her writing and such.

iMac 27", MacBook Pro Retina, Samsung S4 are personal items, and a Surface Pro 3 with an iPhone 4 for work duties.

The MBPr get the most use and my favourite product for pretty much everything.

My desktop gets by far and away the most use.

Out of the house I use my phone quite a bit, and then finally one of the kids tablet's, though I can never spend more than 20 mis or so using a tablet.

Dell 15z Laptop is my goto machine for most things backed up by my Samsung SIII when I'm on the move.

In the office I have my desktop and a works mobile also but the desktop is probably the least used machine of the bunch.

Never owned a tablet and don't thing I would find a use for it either. Still a few years behind in the tech so maybe in the future I may think about getting one.

Have a desktop and a Galaxy Note 4. I'd say the phone probably edges it due to the fact that I use it when going to work to watch things on Netflix.

I'd like to own a tablet but can't really justify it and the desktop and phone manage everything I need.

Desktop: 2014 Mac Pro. This gets the most use and is the one I probably couldn't do without. Most of my "stuff" is on here.
Laptop: late 2013 MacBook Air. This is mainly used when I'm on holiday or travelling.
Tablet: iPad Air. Mainly used when in front of the TV or when I can't be bothered firing up a computer.
Smartphone: iPhone 5c. Mainly used for checking email and other stuff at work. Some months I don't make or receive a single call.

My dell xps laptop gets most use. Then my galaxy note 2 phone. Then my self built media centre.

In order,
1 - Ipad, it gets used all the time.
2 - Samsung Galaxy S4.
3 - PC desktop, I only use it for Video Editing.

Most used: Galaxy S3 phone by a long way. Messaging. Satnav. Forums. Watching TV in bed. Using basic built-in power-saving options it needs charging twice once per day or more.

Next: Desktop PC. Evening work/gaming/longer posts (like this one).

Next (way down): Ipad 1. Occasional videos. Also wall-mounted in kitchen for handy access to email/facebook/share prices without getting out/further draining phone. Charged about once a month :p

Same, almost all my consumption is on the phone.
I went from s3 to a Sony z3 and battery life is crazy good. It's been totally hammered all day (bar a trip to the pool which you can see) and I could still go all night. On a typical working day, I would hammer it for 2 days, full tilt with bright screen and no power saving on and it's still got juice after 2 full days. And lightning quick. Best phone around IMO.

Mac mini - solely used for Plex to serve the house
iMac-used for when working from home
2 Macbook Pros (one for me and the other's is for the Missus- bought mine before the iMac used to be the main computer)
iPad2
Nexus 5 phone- starting to use the phone more and more, thinking about getting the Nexus 6 , need a bigger screen which should eliminate the need to upgrade the iPad.

Macbook Pro gets used the most, On the sofa mainly. The iPad is getting increasingly irritating to use since the Apple updates.

Desktop and tablet get used the most. Phone a close 3rd. I also have a laptop which would be better used as a door stop

Laptop (Lenovo T530 ThinkPad)- perched on the arm of the sofa- sees the most use. I work on it, do the bulk of browsing, all of my photo editing and a fair bit of review test work on it. This is followed by my iPad and phone in roughly equal measure.

Tablet all the time (crap but has a brilliant battery life, so I can lounge about more)
Phone is off 99% of the time as they annoy me

Although funnily enough, despite my phone being my most used gadget it is hardly used as a 'telephone' at all. I send a handful of text messages and make about one phone call a month.

In this order..
HTC M8
NEXUS 7 2013
Gaming Desktop
Laptop (rarely)

I use an iMac as my desktop which isn't used loads, iPad which is for bedroom browsing mostly, iPhone 6+ which was used a fair amount and now an 11" macbook air which is used tons and I'm thinking of getting rid of the 6+ now as its crap software wise and I'm fed up of constant reboots/glitches etc

also have a lenovo yoga windows laptop which is never used, just can't get on with windows 8 and its gathering dust

Mac mini, iPad and iPhone here. The phone doesn't get used at all in the house. The ipad gets used all the time and the Mac mini is used on a daily basis for plex duties.

Desktop for me too, its a gaming desktop so it gets a fair bit of use for that alone. I tend to do most of my web browsing from it too. I keep it clear of anything work related, I have a company laptop for that, I don't even have an office application installed on my desktop.

I have a Nexus 7 tablet that I use for email and some browsing and generally messing about, it gets a fair bit of use while I am travelling for work.

I have a Galaxy S5 which is a work phone and I keep it mainly as a phone and for work email, no social media or messaging apps as it is a big enough mither as it is.
