Dension ICE link plus - bad sound quality - Renault Clio

Hi

Search through the ICE link category and couldnt find anything re this subject.

I've just had the ICE link plus fitted to my 03 clio factory fitted radio. The company have sent me an update as apparently some kits need updating before they work correctly.

I have d/l this update to a playlist and ran it but still have terrible crackling noises on a lot of tunes, listen to rock/indie so most songs sound terrible!

I have turned the EQ off on ipod, and soundcheck on. Anyone had same problem or any ideas?

Is the audio level on the Ice Link set to 4v? In the menu it needs to be set to 1v or 2v I think.

What updates did you receive? Every time I turn on my head unit the Ice Link defaults to 4v even though I'd set it to 2v previously. 4v results in the terrible distortion that you mention.

I have emailed Dension asking for a software update to fix the bug but received no reply.
