Hi all,

I have just taken receipt of my new Denon 2808 and can't seem to get a banana plug into the speaker terminal on the back of the amp. Am i being a plum or does this amp not accept 4mm banana plugs??

Any help greatly received!

Kind regards,

Matt

Have you removed the plastic inserts? Yamaha receivers come with them - maybe denon too? These are hollow- so difficult to see! To remove use a small screw and twist it in. Then pull out the bungs.

Denon's do have the plastic plug inserts, and are easily removed as already said.
A small flat screwdiver does the trick as well, one of the small jeweller type screwdrivers.

Amazing, cheers all. Piece of cake to get them out.

Regards, plum.

Er... Had my denon pma350 amp for 20 years and never knew about this, I always looked for thinner speaker plugs! Will try when I get home
