Picked up a Denon 3805 on the way home from work this evening. Got it home, out the box and began to cable the thing up. Arghhhhh. The speaker terminals wont accept banana plugs. What a palaver, I had to take the plugs off all my cables and start trimming the cables to fit in the binding posts. The whole thing looks a mess! I hate bare wire connections! It makes things a right pain when trying to make any changes to the installation and theres a greater risk of causing a short from stray cable filaments. It wouldnt be so bad if the binding posts on the amp were of a decent quality, but they arent. Once I had a few cables in I was finding it hard to actually screw down the binding posts due to the cables being in the way! Any of you folks know how I could get the amp to accept 4mm banana plugs???
